2007-2008
The infants are getting brand new kitchens. They should be finished soon.
Mr Wynn, our Headteacher, has just returned from an educational trip to Brazil. He had a chance to visit schools in this country and make contacts. We hope to set up a link with a school in Brazil this year.
2006 -2007
It has been a busy start to the year. During the Summer even more building work took place. The office and Headteacher’s room have been relocated. All the building work and rubbish was only cleared at 6pm the day before the children arrived. Thanks to everyone for their help in getting things ready for the start of term.

There are new speakers and lights in the Junior Hall.

Work has started on planning for the school centenary in 2007. One of the Governors has organised a Comedy Night on November 17th 2006 at the British Legion, Droylsden in order to raise money for the centenary celebrations.
2005-2006
Lots of things happened this year with Mr Wynn as our new Headteacher. Here are just a few of the things.

This was a very busy year. There has been lots of building work in and around the school. Year 4 settled into the brand new prefab classrooms, a great improvement on the old ones.

There are new climbing frames in the Junior Hall.

The ICT suite was finally replaced with modern machines running Windows XP.

Mr Piper went on a secondment for a year teaching in schools around Tameside.
2004-2005 has been a very busy year at Manchester Road. Our new Headteacher Mr Wynn started in January and there have been a lot of changes since then.

The 57 year old prefabs are being demolished and replaced by brand new prefabs. Click here to see the pictures.

Many more classes now have interactive whiteboards.

Climbing walls have been added to the infant and junior playgrounds. Click here.

Work is starting on creating a new library for the juniors.
